Abstract
For part 1 see Abst. 5193, Vol. 33. 2. From 526 days of age, at liveweight 286 kg, groups of 10 and 11 Black Pied Lowland heifers were given winter rations of sugar beet leaf silage, brewer's grains, dried beet pulp and concentrate supplying 8.6 and 8.0 kg dry matter, 940 and 930 g digestible protein and 4485 and 3930 g starch equivalent per day. During fattening for 129 and 135 days, respectively, gains were 1015 and 928 g.
