Field trials were carried out on 6 farms involving 570 lambs infected with Nematodirus spp. and Ostertagia spp. Control was attempted using 3 doses of pyrantel tartrate at 25 mg. per kg. body-weight or tetramisole at 15 mg. per kg. Treatment started at the beginning of May and was repeated at 3-weekly intervals. Observations went on for a period of 9 weeks and efficacy was assessed by comparison of the weight-gain of the treated groups and of the control group.
