The type was developed at the Krupsk state farm by crossing Kazakh Fat-rumped and crossbred Karakul ewes with Caucasian and Tsigai rams. Data are tabulated on the traits in sheep of various ages. Fleece weight of adult rams and 2-yr-old ewes averaged 7.1 and 5.0 kg resp., and clean wool yield 58.0 and 57.7%.
