Abstract
The highest yield of clean wool/kg live weight was in Stavropols (54 g) and the lowest in Askanians (45 g); Soviet Merinos also had a high yield, and had the finest wool of all breeds. Askanians had the highest suint content (27.0%) and Groznys the lowest (19.1%).
