Liver biopsies were made on 3 patients between 41 and 60 years old with cholelithiasis, homogenates were prepared and the metabolism of cholesterol-1, 2-3H, cholest-5-ene-3ss, 7 alpha -diol-7ss-3H, tritium-labelled 7 alpha -hydroxycholest-4-en-3-one, 7 alpha , 12 alpha -dihydroxycholest-4-en-3-one and cholest-5-ene-3ss, 7 alpha , 12-triol in fractions of the homogenates was studied.
