Future prospects for world trade in agricultural products. Recommendations affecting world trade in the Indicative World Plan

Future prospects for world trade in agricultural products. Recommendations affecting world trade in the Indicative World Plan

Agrarwirtschaft, Hannover, 19: 7, 215-24

The paper deals with the part of the Indicative World Plan for Agricultural Development (IWP) that refers to trade patterns and policies. The projections as given in the IWP imply that with respect to most agricultural products changes of trade policies in developed countries were essential if the production goals of developing countries are to be attained. However, the actual production and tirade of agricultural products show that the chances of reaching these goals are not very high.
