& F. XXVIII. There is no correlation between the Co content of clays of Andalusian soils and their MgO, SiO2, A12O3 or TiO2 contents. A high positive correlation exists between total Co in clays and their Fe content expressed as Fe2O3. Most of the Co was found in combination with oxide and hydroxide gels associated with the clays. The remainder is probably present as lattice component of the clay minerals.
