In each of 4 seasons Shorthorn X Hereford bullocks with initial liveweight about 750 lb grazed rotationally without supplement, at stocking rates of 1, 2 or first 2 and then 1 bullock per acre, on mixed swards which had received 3 cwt superphosphate, 1 cwt muriate of potash and 1 cwt calcium ammonium nitrate per acre in mid-February of each year.
