Abstract
Changes in nutritive value throughout growth and regrowth vigour were investigated in elephant grass Taiwan A-146 cut 28, 56, 84, 112, 140, 168 or 198 days after a general cut taken on 15 Jan. 1969. Elephant grass grew fast initially and stem elongation was early, shown by the total removal of growing points at the 56-day cut. Maximum regrowth occurred after the 28-day harvest.
