Haploid plantlets and callus from immature pollen grains of Nicotiana and Lycopersicon

Haploid plantlets and callus from immature pollen grains of Nicotiana and Lycopersicon

Bulletin of the Torrey Botanical Club 98: 4, 219-222

A haploid callus from diploid L. esculentum 'Rutgers' has been maintained in culture for seven months and diploid lines from tetraploids of the same variety have been cultured for eight weeks. The diploids showed a greater increase in weight after eight weeks in culture than the haploids.
