Heritability estimates and interrelationships among agronomic traits in grain sorghum, Sorghum bicolor (L.) Moench

Heritability estimates were made for 12 agronomic traits in F3 and F4 segregating populations from the crosses Redland x Martin and Combine Kafir 60 x KS7 and time when half the plants in a plot bloomed, leaf number and plant height were shown to have the highest values whilst head number had the lowest. Seed weight and protein percentage were more highly heritable in the Redland x Martin population than in Combine Kafir 60 x KS7.
