Heritability of stem colour and other characters in hop hybrids and correlations between the colour and economically important characteristics

Heritability of stem colour and other characters in hop hybrids and correlations between the colour and economically important characteristics

Genetika, 5: 9, 32-42. bibl. 15

When red- and green-stemmed hop varieties were crossed the progeny showed both red and green stems, red being dominant. No correlation was found between stem colour and productivity or earliness. Clones of green-stemmed plants within individual hybrid families contained, on average, less bitter substances than those of red-stemmed plants.-Respubl. nauc.-issled. hmelevod. Stan.
