Immunofluorescent detection of transmissible gastroenteritis virus in the intestines of piglets

The test revealed specific fluorescence in epithelial cells of jejunum and ileum, which was first observed in pigs killed 18 hours after infection, reaching a peak at the 72nd or 96th hour.
