Incidence of sarcosporidia in slaughter cattle

Berliner und Münchener Tierärztliche Wochenschrift 82: 49-51

Sarcocysts were found histologically in 214 out of 732 slaughtered cattle which had been passed as normal at meat inspection. The sarcocysts caused no reaction. Most of the parasites were cylindrical but other forms were also found. The highest number of cases was found in March and September.
