Virus diarrhoea has been diagnosed among roe-deer living in a wild reservation adjacent to a state cattle farm where the disease had previously caused severe losses in young stock. From the spleen of a deer a non-cytopathic strain of virus-diarrhoea virus was isolated. When injected i/v, this strain reproduced virus diarrhoea in a young calf.
