When a subcutaneous injection of Na214CO3, 0.5 to 1 micro Ci per g bodyweight, was given to Wistar rats on a normal or a cariogenic sucrose diet 14C in teeth and bones reached a maximum 20 min after injection. In rats 30 days old there was more 14C in teeth after 20 min than in those 60, 120 or 180 days old and in jaw bones there was more in those 30 and 180 days old than in those 60 and 120 days.
