In field trials during 2 years at 10 sites in Israel, wheat was grown under dryland conditions, except that sprinkler irrigation was used to supplement very low rainfall at 2 sites. CCC was applied as a foliar spray at elongation of the 2nd or 3rd stem internode and at some sites at seedling emergence and tillering. Amounts applied were 4 or 5 kg/ha in the single-appli-cation and 2.5, 5 and 6, 7.5 or 10 kg in the 3-application treatments. Yields were increased by 5-16% in 12 of the 14 trials.
