4 Sahiwal cows were fed wheat straw, lucerne hay and concentrates containing 15, 25, 27.5 or 30% molasses and 10-12% digestible protein at a rate of 1 lb/2.5 lb milk produced. Addition of molasses had no significant effect on milk yield, N retention or digestibility of dry matter, crude protein, crude fibre, ether extract or N-free extract.
