Investigations into the cause of the phloem necrosis disease of Coffea liberica in Surinam, South America

Investigations into the cause of the phloem necrosis disease of Coffea liberica in Surinam, South America

Neth. J. Pl. Path 74(6): 202-218

DOI: 10.1007/bf01974244

Failure to associate this disease of Liberian coffee with a fungal, bacterial or viral pathogen led to the conclusion that the causal organism is a flagellate (Phytomonas leptovasorum) occurring in the phloem of affected trees.
