Incorporation of green manure (Raphanus sativus, Trifolium, Lathyrus cicera, Lolium annuum) into the soil temporarily inhibited hyphal growth, and increased lysis of the hyphae; but it considerably stimulated sporulation, and eliminated the soil's natural fungistatic effect that inhibited the germination of conidia.
