Investigations on the time of nitrogen fertilizing of winter cereals. Part I. Influence of the time of nitrogen fertilizing on the yield of winter wheat varieties

Investigations on the time of nitrogen fertilizing of winter cereals. Part I. Influence of the time of nitrogen fertilizing on the yield of winter wheat varieties

Pamietnik Pulawski 47: 131-146

In a 3-year field experiment, wheat was fertilized with 0-100 kg N/ha applied in the autumn, in the spring, or i in the autumn and 1/2 in the spring. Winter hardiness was not affected by the level of N applied in the autumn. Lodging in susceptible varieties was greater when they were fertilized at high N levels in the spring.
