Lymphatic Leukosis In Dogs. An Epizootological, Clinical And Haematological Study

Acta Veterinaria Scandinavica 6(Suppl. 1): 1-80

In a population of 7544 dogs observed at 5 Swedish veterinary clinics, 60 dogs belonging to 24 breeds suffered from leucosis. Of the breeds representing at least 5% of the total, Scottish Terriers showed the highest incidence of the disease (4 out of 57 dogs examined), followed by Boxers (15 out of 476); Dachshunds showed the lowest incidence (2 out of 1490). There was some difference between districts in the incidence of the disease, but there was no sex difference.
