Milk formula for ad lib. feeding in artificially-fed infants-physical development, protein metabolism and renal solute-load of infants fed on powdered milk formula (Diamond-G Morinaga Dry Milk)

Acta paediat. jap 73(3): 332-41

3 healthy infants were fed 15% diluted Diamond-G Morinaga milk formula ad lib. for 1/2-4 months. Mean daily intake was 949 ml in the 1st month reaching a max. of 1008 ml at l1/2 months. N retention ratio, urinary excretion of urea N and a-amino N, total serum protein and serum urea N were in the normal range and osmotic pressure of urine was 235.6-328.2 mOsmoles.
