Moisture and fat content during the adult life of the ambrosia beetle, Trypodendron lineatum (Oliv.)

The beetles used up ca. 25% of their stored fat content during hibernation, and another 25% during post-hibernation dispersal. Experiments with beetles stored at 0 or 4 degrees C. indicated that losses increased with storage time and were higher at the higher temperature.
