For parts 5 and 6 see Abst. 1012, Vol. 36.7. Wistar rats weaned at 30 days from dams on normal diet (Abst. 2770, Vol. 34) were given from 40 days a diet of sucrose 67, casein 24, soya oil 5 and mineral mixture 4% and a supplement of vitamins A, D, E and B complex. Offspring for 5 generations were weaned at 30 days to the same diet. Control rats were kept on stock diet for 4 generations.
