3 The biological values (BV) of the proteins of raw and autoclaved horse gram, at 10% level of protein intake with adult albino rats weighing 135 to 150 g were 66 and 88, respectively; the digestibility coefficients (DC) were 85 and 93 The values for net protein utilization were calculated as the product of BV and DC-M N R.
