Tests were carried out in 1966-67 at Vellayani in the Indian State of Kerala on the control of Dacus cucurbitae Coq. on the fruits of bitter gourd (Momordica charantia). Carbaryl and trichlorphon (Dipterex) at 0.1 % and malathion, parathion and diazinon at 0.05% were applied as cover sprays four times, beginning at flowering time.
