Lengths of the different stages of the oestrous cycle were determined. Graphs are given showing the development of the corpus luteum and follicle; folli-cular hypoplasia and aplasia occurred in 20 and 10% resp. of the. Fertility was very low. On a farm with 218 averaging 6 yr of age and which had produced an average of 1.6 calves each, only 29% of conceived after a service period averaging 6.6 (1-36) mth.
