Peroxidases of the Alaska pea (Pisum sativum L.). Enzymic properties and distribution within the plant

Peroxidases of the Alaska pea (Pisum sativum L.). Enzymic properties and distribution within the plant

Archives of Biochemistry and Biophysics 117(2): 347-356

The peroxidase activity, extracted by column chromatography from green and etiolated Alaska pea seedlings, was resolved into 2 major components, C1 and C3, and 2 minor components, N and C2 C1 and C2 were absent from the root, and C3 from the leaf lamina and etiolated apical bud; N was found throughout the plant.
