Arsenic and lead residue results are given for apples imported into the U.K. from Australia, Canada, New Zealand and South Africa in 1962-65.The recommended intervals between final application and harvest for lead arsenate treatment against codling moth and other pests in the countries concerned are compared with practice in the U.K. and related to the residues that amy occur in the fruit.
