Studies were made on the variations in floristic composition of monsoonal vegetation of the alluvial plain (700 ac) at the Central Research Farm, Massuria, Rajasthan. 5 grass species were recorded in summer, of which Cenchrus setigerus and Eleusine compressa were dominant and survived up to Apr. The number of species increased to 26 at 5 weeks after the 1st rainfall on 30 July.
