Trials were carried out in several states to evaluate mixtures of picloram + 2, 4, 5-T for brush control on rights-of-way. Sprays were applied (1) basally to cover the lower 18 in of the main stem and root collar and (2) as dormant stem treatments during the defoliated period. Diesel oil was used as a carrier in all treatments and application rates ranged from 54 to 275 gal/ac, depending largely on the density of brush.
