Potential evapotranspiration, actual evapotranspiration and crop yield in the arid Mediterranean zone

Potential evapotranspiration, actual evapotranspiration and crop yield in the arid Mediterranean zone

Proc. Symp. Agroclimatological Methods, Reading, UNESCO, Paris., 89-95

Relationships between dry matter production/ha/ day and actual (EA) and potential (ET) evapotranspiration were studied in lucerne under three irrigation treatments. Yield was correlated with EA-Maximum yield, corresponding to EA/ET = 1, decreased when ET increased.
