Pre- and post-emergence weed control tests with mixtures of propanil and HE 314 against Echinochloa in rice fields

Trials conducted in Italy showed that the experimental product HE 314 e.c. gave better results than propanil in immediate and subsequent control in rice fields of Scirpus mucronatus, and Alisma plantago. HE 314 was applied as a concentrated emulsion and in granular form at doses of 27 and 135 kg/ha respectively, while propanil was applied at doses of 15 and 19 kg/ha. Both products were equally effective against Echinochloa.
