Insecticide treatments for the control of Prays oleae (Bern.) on olive in Greece, especially those applied in spring, destroy the indigenous parasites of the moth. Chelonus elaeaphilus Silv., a parasite found in most Mediterranean countries but not in Greece, was therefore introduced in 1968. A strain originating from France was reared by the technique of Y.
