Present state of packaging and packaging techniques for dairy products in Czechoslovakia. (In 'Packaging in the dairy industry.')

Obaly a obalova technika v mliek-arstve, Zilina, Czechoslovakia: Dom Techniky, 3-23

A major trend has been a rapid increase in the use of plastics and Al foil for the packaging of milk and milk products due mainly to the change-over from glass bottles to polyethylene sachets and changes in the packaging of retail butter. In 1970, milk packaged in sachets accounted for 22% of the packaged milk which in turn represented 70% of all the market milk produced. The glass bottle remained the major milk container, only a small amount of milk being packaged in plastics bottles.
