Problems of part-time farming in mountain areas

Problems of part-time farming in mountain areas

Forderungsdienst. Wien 254-261

The article is based on a paper read at the eleventh CEA working panel on the economic and social problems of mountain areas (held at Krems, Austria in June 1971). A general discussion of the conditions and development of part-time farming leads to the statement that it is not possible to improve the farmer's income situation by non-farm employment accompanied by adjusting the farm organization to the remaining labour capacity of the farmer's family.
