Production of wood chips with a cylinder-type chipper. 3. Effect of inclination angle, knife-edge angle, and cutting-direction angle

Production of wood chips with a cylinder-type chipper. 3. Effect of inclination angle, knife-edge angle, and cutting-direction angle

Holz Roh- u. Werkstoff. 24: 4, 158-66

cf. F.A. 28 No. 1370.) The effect of various angle combinations on dulling, feed and cutting forces, and chip quality was tested on Pine wood at moisture contents of 30 and 15%. An inclination angle (lambda) of 20% was most favourable for chip quality.
