Radiation sensitivity of successively irradiated generations of the Indian meal moth

The following is virtually the authors' abstract. In laboratory tests in Georgia, adults in five populations of Plodia interpunctella (Hb.) were treated in each generation with radiation from radioactive cobalt (60Co) at doses of 0, 0.5, 1, 2 or 4 krad. Adults in the seventh generation were subsequently tested for resistance to acute irradiation by exposing them to single doses of 16 and 50 krad.
