Rates and proportion of mineral fertilizers for spring wheat on leached chernozem soil in the Irkutsk Province

In trials in 1966-7 on leached chernozem soil with a low humus content, spring wheat grown after different crops was given various combinations of 20.60 kg N, 20.60 kg P3O5 and 20-40 kg K2O/ha. With 60 kg N + 40 kg P2O5 + 40 kg K2O/ha, wheat grown after fallow, wheat or maize gave the highest average grain yields of 3.46; 2.2 and 3.04 t/ha, respectively, compared with respective yields of 2.91, 1.34 and 2.03 t/ha on plots given no fertilizer.
