Reciprocal maintainer-restorer relationship between A1 and A2 sterile cytoplasms facilitates millet breeding

Reciprocal maintainer-restorer relationship between A1 and A2 sterile cytoplasms facilitates millet breeding

Crop Sci 8: 632-34

The Pennisetum typhoides maintainer Tift 23DB1(S1) for cytoplasmically male-sterile Tift 23DA1 will restore fertility in cytoplasmically male-sterile Tift 239DA2; and maintainer Tift 239DB2(S2) will restore the fertility of Tift 23DA1.
