Response of high yielding dwarf-mcfc'ca rice to different sources and levels of phosphate fertilizers

In trials in 1966-7 on sandy loam soil with rice Taichung Native 1 given 160 kg N + 60 kg K2O/ha, application of 40 kg P2O5/ha in 3 forms resulted in paddy yields of 3.74-4.87 t/ha in the rabi season and 2.46-2.64 t/ha in the kharif season, compared with 4.05 and 2.37 t/ha, respectively, on plots given no P; the highest yields were obtained by the application of P2O5 as ammonium phosphate and superphosphate in the rabi and kharif season, respectively.
