Results of examination of oestrous sows and gilts four times daily for the optimum time of insemination

Teasers were used with 783 sows and 325 gilts. C.R. after natural mating and insemination was highest in sows inseminated twice (86%) and gilts mated twice (85%) and lowest in sows inseminated once (52%) and gilts inseminated twice (42%).
