Abstract
The percentage of diseased ears was recorded in studies extending over four years on seven varieties of wheat and eight of barley from the state collection. Carsten and Heine 241 remained free of the disease throughout tests on wheats and Peragis Garant and Wachtel showed no symptoms in the one year in which they were observed.
