Rice bran-soybean oil meal combination with varying protein levels for growing-fattening pigs

Philippine Agriculturist 52: 146-153

ISSN/ISBN: 0031-7454

Diets of rice bran and soya bean meal, with minerals and vitamins, had from 5 to 30% of the oil-meal and 11.3, 13.0, 14.7, 16.4, 18.1 or 19.8% protein. Ca and P contents were similar in all diets. The diets had from 8.98% fibre with most rice bran to 8.20% with least, and metabolisable energy was from 2109 to 2116 kcal per kg. For 77 days each of the 6 diets was given at 2 to 3% of liveweight to 2 pens of 4 pigs 80 days old of average initial weight 18.54 kg.
