Single suckling was studied at stocking rates of 2.47 (low), 3.71 (medium) or 4.94 (high) cows plus calves/ha for 3 grazing seasons from 1966 to 1968 in Ireland. Creep grazing by calves and double-suckling were also studied at the medium rate. There were 8 calves on each treatment in each year and a similar number of cows except with double-suckling, with 4 cows.
