Studies on breeding tomato for resistance to Cladosporium fulvum. II. On bred strains resistant to C. fulvum

Studies on breeding tomato for resistance to Cladosporium fulvum. II. On bred strains resistant to C. fulvum

Engei Shikenjo Hokoku/Bull. hort. Res. Sta. : Ser. B Okitsu, 4, 17-32

The breeding of Okitsu 7 and 8, which were selected from the progeny of Fuasuto x Improved Bay State, is briefly described. These two strains are resistant to the common isolates of C. fulvum and this characteristic appears to be controlled by two dominant genes. They are medium to late in maturity, adapted to winter or spring cultivation under glass and produce regular-shaped fruits.
