Studies on cecum digestion. 8. On the digestibility of the rabbits operated for cecum fistula or fed the diets containing Cr203

Studies on cecum digestion. 8. On the digestibility of the rabbits operated for cecum fistula or fed the diets containing Cr203

Jap. J. Zootech. Sci 38: 370-375

For previous work see Abst. 517, Vol. 35. 8. Rabbits, fed on either mixed or pelleted diets, the latter containing the most crude and true protein, the least crude fibre and having the highest digestibility of total solids, were normal controls or were provided with a caecal fistula or were given 1% dietary supplements of chromic oxide (Cr2O3). Food intake, faecal output, faecal composition and digestibility of dietary constituents were estimated.
