For part 6 see Abst. 321, Vol. 38. 10. Up to the late vegetative stage teosinte fertilized with 4.8 kg N per acre had a higher protein content and a lower N-free extract compared to the 1.2 kg rate; protein digestibility was significantly greater at the late vegetative and head stages and DCP was greater at all stages. As growth progressed DCP fell; TDN fell then rose gradually.
