Rye was grown at 240 or 80 kg N/ha and its feeding value determined at various growth stages when the hay was fed to rabbits as meal. High N levels increased the CP content at flag-leaf emergence and the boot stage during 1st growth and regrowth. NFE content decreased throughout growth. DCP content increased between flag-leaf emergence and the boot stage, while TDN increased significantly at flag-leaf emergence. Level of N did not affect digest1bility or nutrient content during regrowth.
